Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need insurance to rent a vehicle?

Yes. You must have full coverage (Liability Insurance + Collision Coverage). Upon reserving a vehicle, we will reach out to your insurance company to verify your coverage and that it will transfer to your rental.

How old do I need to be to rent a vehicle?

Minimum age to rent our vehicles is 21 years of age.

Do I need a credit card to reserve a vehicle?

Yes.

Do I need a CDL to drive a 15-passenger van?

No. A current standard US driver’s license is sufficient.

Can I use a NEO Car Rental to transport people for money?

Yes, if you have a commercial insurance policy for that purpose.

Can I use a NEO Car Rental for ride-share services like UBER and LYFT?

No.

Can I return the vehicle when you are closed?

Yes. We allow for after-hours drop off.

Can I leave my vehicle at your location?

Yes. For your convenience you may leave a vehicle at our location while renting a vehicle from us. NEO Car Rentals is not responsible for theft or damages.

What if our rental vehicle breaks down on our trip?

We have nationwide services established in the event of a variety of circumstances.

Can I tow with your vehicle?

Our standard 12 & 15 passenger vehicles can tow up to a 5’x8’ enclosed single axle trailer for an additional charge.

Is the deposit to reserve the vehicle refundable if I need to cancel?

No. However you can purchase the cancellation fee waiver when you reserve the vehicle which allows you to receive a full refund of your deposit minus the cost of the fee in the event your plans change and you need to cancel your NEO car rental.
